This is the course for those who know God's call to share the gospel with your neighbor. We want this course to give young people an insight into what the Bible says about God's call, about personal faith, and obedience, of God's love for all people. We will also give course participants an introduction to Islamic faith and the Koran. The course ends with a 4-8 week stay in the Middle East.
The course is organized so that it will be possible to combine with work or studies. The minimum age is 18 years. The course will start up during Christmas 2009, with 2 weeks of intensive training at EBS. The next collection (1 week at EBS) will be Easter 2010. Then there will be 2 weeks of training in Beirut in late June 2010 before the course participants go directly out for 4-8 weeks of practice in one of the countries included in the Middle East Union. Currently we are scouting work, evangelism, and Bible school for children.
After completing the training, we work to make it possible to continue in service either in the Middle East Union or the Norwegian Union, within the existing programs that the church has. (Adventist Volunteer Service or Ettåring). But whether you continue on this path or return to your church, we hope that this experience will contribute to a greater commitment to sharing the gospel with the people you associate with.
